Details
These are queens of exceptional quality from one of Europe's finest breeding operations.
- They produce gentle, easy to manage and healthy colonies.
- They winter happily in a single National box, but expand rapidly in response to pollen availability in the Spring.
- They are true Carnica - from Slovenia.
- Contrary to the reputation of some Carniolans, we find that these bees are not especially prone to swarming, as long as you give space for expansion.
Marking: These queens come marked with a numbered dot so you can find them more easily in your hive.
Clipping: You can select clipping, at £2.50 per queen.
Delivery: We despatch Monday to Friday by first class post (free), or guaranteed next day delivery before 1pm: to arrive Tuesday to Friday, £6 for any number of queens, Saturday £10. When available, order by 2pm and we can despatch the same day (Mon - Fri). Queens will arrive in an introduction cage with attendants, and a candy plug, ready to be introduced to your hive. We can post only to Great Britain - ie England, Scotland and Wales, but not Northern Ireland.
Replacement Guarantee. We are confident that you will be delighted with your queen(s). But if you are not, we will replace live queens free of charge within 3 months of purchase.
Introduction to your hive: We provide detailed guidance, which normally assures safe introduction. But introducing a new queen to a colony is never totally risk free, and our replacement guarantee does not insure you against those risks.
